New electric Mercedes GLA has officially revealed the all-new electric GLA, turning one of its compact SUVs into a long-range EV. The headline figures are significant:
up to 657 kilometres of WLTP range, an 800-volt electrical system, DC charging at up to 320 kW and as much as 270 kilometres of added range in ten minutes under suitable conditions. The new model also brings a larger cabin, a 107-litre front storage compartment and an AI-supported MBUX system. buyers, the real question is whether its range, charging speed, space and expected market position make it worth waiting for instead of buying a current GLA or EQA. This guide separates confirmed specifications from UAE details that Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced.
The new electric GLA is the battery-powered version of Mercedes-Benz’s redesigned compact SUV. Previously, the EQA acted as the electric alternative to the petrol GLA. Mercedes is now bringing the GLA name directly into its latest electric generation.
The vehicle was presented on 29 July 2026. Three fully electric versions are planned for the initial launch: the GLA 200 electric, GLA 250+ electric and GLA 350 4MATIC electric. Electrified combustion-engine versions will follow later. Are the Confirmed Mercedes GLA EV Range, Battery and Performance Figures?
The GLA supports DC fast charging at up to 320 kW through its 800-volt architecture. Mercedes-Benz says it can add up to 270 kilometres of WLTP range in ten minutes when connected to a compatible charger and when battery conditions allow. AC charging is supported at up to 22 kW, while an optional converter enables charging at 400-volt DC stations. omers should confirm whether the local specification includes the 400-volt converter, 22 kW onboard AC charger and battery preconditioning. A high peak rate is valuable only when the vehicle and charger are fully compatible.
Mercedes-Benz says the first three electric versions will enter their initial markets in November 2026. German ordering opened on 30 July 2026, but that does not confirm the same delivery timetable for Dubai, Abu Dhabi or the wider GCC. July 2026, the official Mercedes-Benz Abu Dhabi website promotes the all-new electric GLA and accepts registrations of interest. However, the UAE model listings do not yet provide an official local starting price.
The model is being promoted in the UAE, but final pricing, local equipment and delivery dates remain unconfirmed.
German prices start at €48,599.60 including VAT for the GLA 200 electric, €54,978 for the GLA 250+ and €58,107.70 for the GLA 350 4MATIC. These figures should not be converted directly into an expected UAE showroom price because regional equipment, logistics, warranty packages and dealer positioning can affect local pricing.
The current petrol GLA is listed in Dubai from AED 218,900. Buyers comparing a Mercedes-Benz for sale in the UAE should therefore wait for confirmed local pricing before judging whether the electric GLA offers better overall value. The EV may be positioned above the petrol model, but no reliable UAE price should be published until Mercedes-Benz or its authorised distributor confirms it.
The wheelbase is 61 mm longer than before. Mercedes reports more legroom and headroom, a 410-litre rear luggage compartment, up to 1,400 litres with the rear seats folded and a 107-litre front trunk. Properly equipped 4MATIC electric versions can tow up to two tonnes. onal MBUX Superscreen combines a 10.25-inch driver display, 14-inch central screen and available 14-inch passenger display. Navigation uses Google Maps, while the MBUX Virtual Assistant uses generative AI to provide conversational information about destinations, chargers and parking. d room, storage and route-based charging information may provide more everyday value than performance figures alone.
Waiting makes sense for buyers who want a compact premium EV with long claimed range, very fast charging, current-generation infotainment and the latest Mercedes electric platform. On paper, the GLA 250+ looks like the balanced choice because it combines the larger battery with a range-focused powertrain. The GLA 350 4MATIC better suits drivers prioritising acceleration, all-wheel drive and towing capacity.
Buying now may still make sense for customers who require immediate delivery, have a fixed budget or prefer petrol power. The current GLA is available in Dubai, while the EQA is already established and easier to test-drive and price today. aying a deposit, request written confirmation of the UAE battery warranty, charging hardware, service package, GCC cooling specification, connected services and delivery date.

Its maximum 657-kilometre WLTP range, 320 kW charging, larger cabin and new digital architecture make it a strong future contender in the premium compact EV market. UAE buyers should still wait for three confirmed local details before deciding: price, GCC specification and delivery timing.
Mercedes-Benz quotes a maximum WLTP range of up to 657 kilometres for the most efficient electric GLA configuration. Real-world range will depend on the selected version, driving speed, weather, air-conditioning use, wheel size and vehicle load.
The new electric GLA supports DC fast charging at up to 320 kW. Mercedes-Benz states that a compatible charger may add as much as 270 kilometres of WLTP range in approximately ten minutes under suitable battery and charging conditions.
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the vehicle internationally and UAE customers can register their interest. However, the final UAE delivery schedule, local specifications and confirmed showroom availability should be verified with an authorised Mercedes-Benz distributor.
An official UAE starting price has not yet been confirmed. Prices announced in other markets should not be converted directly because UAE equipment packages, warranties, taxes, logistics and distributor pricing may differ.
The GLA 250+ electric appears to be the range-focused option, combining the larger 85 kWh usable battery with a 200 kW power output. The GLA 350 4MATIC electric is better suited to buyers prioritising stronger acceleration and all-wheel-drive performance.
Its claimed range, rapid charging capability and compact SUV format make it potentially suitable for daily Dubai commuting and inter-emirate journeys. Buyers should still confirm the GCC cooling specification, battery warranty and local charging equipment before ordering.
